A can’t miss whether living in or visiting Florence. Tiny place to grab an innovative and great tasting 5€ sandwich with southern exposure (on a day with sun, an even more fantastic place to be) to watch the activity at the Sant’Ambrogio market. Wash down your sandwich with one or more 1€ glasses of white or red wine. I love Semel. You will be taken care of by the owner. A really mice guy.
We got the roast pork and tomato sauce sandwich, and the artichoke and meatball sandwich (both were good but we liked the meatball one was better). The bread was very tasty and we had 1 euro house wine. Highly recommend, very friendly service.
Delicious, seasonal sandwiches that hit the spot and set you back just 4€ (and 1€ for a cup of house wine to wash it down). Super cute little place with four stools next to the counter where you order from the chalkboard menus. Right across …
amazing paninis and fun service. off the beaten path. 1 euro wine
If you don't eat here at least once, you are missing out. Wish I would have stopped by here earlier in my trip! …
The best panini I have had in Florence. I moved here a month ago and still have not found a better place. I recommend the roast pork, tomato, and spice panini.
An must go food place in Florence! Very delicious sandwich, 🍐 pear+cheese + truffles, fresh, special and wonderful 👍 good wine for 1 euro, the gentleman is friendly and nice, the tiny shop is cute and beautiful. …
Small place with a focused menu doing one thing the right way.
Tomato, herring and cheese is the way to go.
More than the food, the owner is super friendly. Ensured we understood the menu (he spoke good English!), before we sat down he poured us a glass of wine (€1 a pop, bargain!)
We absolutely love Semel. First of all, the owner/sandwich maker is the nicest guy ever. He makes sure your 3 minutes experience is always the best. The sandwich itself is packed with flavour. You can wash it all down with a €1 glass of wine.
Great sandwiches, especially if you wash it down with a glass of wine.
